Five Mistakes to Avoid with Travel Ventures International

January 19th, 2010

There is a huge difference between knowing and believing in business and if you want to make the BIG money that comes with joining Travel Ventures International there are some classic mistakes you do not want to make. This article is about creating a sound plan and it is written by someone who has reached the express board and realized the success of knowing.

Sponsoring Anyone Who Comes Down the Pike

Too many people join Travel Ventures International for the wrong reasons and that is why most fail. Use good judgement when selling memberships to your friends family and prospects. Be sure to pose some questions when you enroll them and try to identify the hot button as to ‘why’ they are enrolling in TVI and usually the ‘how’ to succeed will follow in short order. Getting rich is a shallow reason, keeping the power on, buying a safe car, or paying for school are usually better reasons to reach the express board.

When you recruit people that have the wrong reasons to succeed you end up spinning your wheels and you feel like you are trying to herd sheep. When the motivation to succeed is tied to purpose a whole new world will open up for your TVI business. Be sure to screen out people who only want to get rich and get engaged to those who want to win for the right reason. As I like to say, “get rid of the baggage and look for the baggage carriers”.

Not Setting Goals

Two goals you must have in Travel Ventures International are these; number one, you must personally enroll two members, and number two, you must help your two members do the same. This simple process of achieving these two goals will drive you straight through the express board.

Not Helping the People You Sponsored

Many people in network marketing programs such as Travel Ventures International make the mistake of sponsoring people and then quickly move on to sponsoring more people thinking they are going to get ahead this way. They fail to invest the time in the people they sponsored to help them succeed.

If you sign up members and do nothing to help them you fall short of being a scam artist and you hurt the momentum of your organization in the long run. Do the business the right way and avoid the churn and burn mechanisms and you will be well respected.

Beware Of Whisper Down The Lane

One of the reasons network-marketing programs get a bad reputation is because some of them become more or less like a game of telephone. One person tells the person they sponsor what to say and that person tells another and before you know it, you have an entire downline that simply repeats information without anything to back it up. Travel Ventures International offers a real opportunity with very little investment associated with it. This gives you a chance to run with it and become genuinely successful. Use this as your testimonial and ditch the “he said, she said” routine.

Fail to Prepare and You Prepare to Fail

Prepare ahead of time what you are going to say and say it with confidence. Make the presentation concise and to the point so the person can easily get the big picture. Although the matrix plan for Travel Ventures International can be complex, break it down as best as you can to make it understandable and then highlight the benefits of the matrix over a pyramid plan and how it works to make everyone successful as a team.

Jobs offshore for network marketers

November 17th, 2009

If you know nothing of petroleum, you have no business working on an offshore oil drilling rig. If you are asking me, I’d tell you that is the first thing I would recommend that you do: learn about the petroleum you would be working about, and then perhaps I would consider you for whatever you are applying for. And I tell you, there’s a whole lot to learn in that quarter. The moment you pick up a book on the subject, you’ll suddenly have a clue.

When seeking employment on an offshore drilling rig, you might want to be particular about the rig you are interested in, and what they do there. That might influence what is to be expected of you, and what you need to have on your resume. Mostly, it’s drilling though, so pucker up.

Within the offshore oil drilling industry there is a lot you can learn. You can learn to work under the most challenging of conditions, and you can learn to work with some of the best professionals in their various fields. In the end, you turn out to be more of a rounded person, and a consummate professional in your own right. I don’t know about you, but that has always been my dream, and I intend to live up to it.

I have always liked the feel of the ocean wind in my hair and all over my face. In a strange way, I thought that was good enough, added to my engineering degree, to qualify me for work on an offshore drilling rig. But I could not be more wrong. In the end, it was not the weather conditions, or the nature of the work; it was the sheer volume of it that got to me.

Crude oil is such a unique substance; there are so many things you need to understand about it. And when you are on an offshore drilling rig, there are all these safety measures you need to adhere to. If you don’t have that covered, you don’t want to work on an offshore oil drilling rig.

They do a psyche test before they give you an offshore job. That implies that they will be sitting you down with a shrink for a tte–tte. The questions might not be all too personal, but they’ll be searching ones. It is because they want to know how well you fare under pressure, and certain other conditions. If you really want the job, you are going to have to go learn to beat that psyche test.

Another great offshore job you can create is to learn internet marketing. There are lots of great Internet posts on internet marketing tricks.

If there are people you know who work on an offshore oil drilling rig, it simply implies that you can do it too. Although there may be lots of challenges to overcome on the way to making that dream come true, you can tell yourself that is there were people who could overcome them, so can you too. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you cannot be everything you dreamt of being.

There has got to be a reason why they pay so much more for people who work on offshore drilling rigs; or haven’t you thought of it? It’s because you are so away from your family all that time, and you are indeed in harm’s way. Considering that, really, no amount of money can pay enough to cover for all that risk.

If you get seasick, you can’t work on an offshore oil drilling rig. Put simply, you’d cave at a time when you are needed the most. You could be the most brilliant person, if you can’t stomach the waves you are no good out there on the rig.

Offshore jobs, especially those out at sea, embody certain qualities. I am speaking of the kind of offshore job you do on an oil drilling rig. You have to be able to maintain calm in the face of a storm and professionalism at all times; and this is only mentioning a few of the needed qualities. You should acquaint yourself with all of these if you are looking to get into that line of work.

MLM - How To Forget What You Are Told And Do It Right - Here Is The Key.

October 19th, 2009

We have all tried it - been infected with other peoples enthusiasm and decided to join an MLM or Network Marketing business. Plenty of money changed hands (out of mine and into others) and I embarked on a crusade of bombarding my friends and family.

Some time after, we might find that we have exhausted the contents of our address books and though some had joined, most had not and eventually the whole thing just dwindled to a distant memory. Meanwhile we get on with our real job and move on.

I put the whole sorry episode down to experience but incorrectly took from it that MLM businesses do not work. After some time I repaired the damage to my address book and all got back to normal again.

Does this sound familiar to you? I know that I am not the only one to go through this experience. It seems that over 96% of all MLM newbies have a very similar experience.

This happened to me - but over the years I became involved in other businesses and whilst these where marginally successful, unbeknown to me, my perspective changed. I was now seeing things through the eyes of an entrepreneur. When I was then offered another opportunity with an MLM business, I found myself looking at it differently than the last time.

I studied MLM and those that had been successful and those that had not and the results that I found were quite remarkable, to me at least.

I asked myself, what is the difference in approach to the way most people who enter MLM attack their business compared with the way a successful business person in a non MLM business attacks theirs.

I discovered that standard business people look at business in a different way to that of MLM newbies. The latter do largely what I did but the real 1% of MLM business people who became millionaires on the back of it look at matters differently. The top 1% invest in themselves, their business and use professionals such as accountants etc to do the things that they cannot. Of these key areas, the main one here is marketing or how and where they are going to find new customers.

I then looked at MLM newbies - who usually have an employees mindset - they have little knowledge of the above areas of business and so they invest in the wrong things. Some buy tons of product believing that their business is about selling as much of it as possible.

This brings me on to the next point that I would like to make - concentrating on the product. I found by studying how successful MLM business people worked, that this is the number one mistake made by MLM newbies. They get seduced into how good the vitamin supplement or brass cleaner is and they fail to realise where their key earnings potential is.

Now I was getting excited, I felt that I had stumbled upon something which was going to be a significant find in MLM.

So, here is the MLM newbie, he has worked hard by contacting all of those people they know - some have joined and others are hiding behind the couch (sound familiar ?). This persons downline is stuffed with people who have done the same and whilst this will generate a small income, it does not generate enough to even remain qualified as an agent yourself.

Therefore, urgent action is needed - and this is usually where the purchasing of leads is the next step. This increases the money out and does give some activity but after some hard work trying to get people in, a typical positive response rate is around 2%. I truth, these new people are no different than those in the Family and Friends that were initially recruited and several months down the line, it is realised that the money spent on the marketing effort has not been replaced and you realize that this is not the way to become financially successful.

When I studied how the top 1% work, I realised that they do it much differently. They invest into their business by obtaining the right information. Most of that data costs money because it is valuable and it has usually been produced by the millionaires who were in this 1%.

So, I invested a small amount of in money finding out precisely how I could do what the top people were doing. I downloaded books, articles and watched videos and DVDs and then I hit on it - I found a resource which was so effective and so reasonably priced that I had to have a go and this is what I did.

After considerable reading and watching, I realised that the way to approach MLM was to recruit other good MLM people who were facing the dilemma “how can I get really good people into my downline”. These people were who I wanted in my own downline. But they already had their own MLM opportunity that they were promoting so how was I going to do this?

Thank goodness that I had accidentally stumbled upon a great information resource which was low cost and which contained the guidance that I was seeking. It became clear to me that leadership and direction was what I needed to offer to me team if I was going to copy the great MLM entrepreneurs. I begin to understand that the only way to get these existing MLM people to follow me was to lay down a clear path which would help them succeed themselves. I would stop being the Hunter and become the Hunted.

So that is it in a nutshell - if you want to be successful in an MLM business you have to think outside the box. You have to be willing to invest in the right areas and in building a system which will attract the right people to you. The person who I had studied whilst investigating this area was one remarkable MLM businessman. He had used the principles that I had read about and he had built one of the largest and most successful MLM downlines in history.

I have now begun the task of building a strong team and I do not concentrate on the MLM opportunity itself or at least not until I have taken care of the most important point - bringing quality people in. I now actually vet people when they approach me but that is the key, they approach me now not I them. It is a complete about face in business terms and I will never conduct an MLM business in the standard way again.

If you show to your own downline direction and leadership, they will follow you and others will be attracted to your downline - would you not join someone who had the answers to the question “where am I going to get top performing people from?”

Thank you very much for reading my article and I hope that it hsa helped you to realize what the secret recipe to be successful in MLM, whether your business is located in the USA, UK Europe or even Timbuktoo.

A MLM Business Requires Good Planning

October 5th, 2009

A successful network marketing business does not just happen. Like any other business it take planning and execution of those plans for success. The people who make it big in this business are the ones who make a plan and then work that plan every day.

Setting goals is critical to good use of your time and time is your most valuable commodity. Any time you are not working your plan is time you are wasting. Good goals you can measure are a great way to stay on track and utilized you more precious asset, your time.

You can look at goal setting and planning in three stages. The first is short term goals, the second is medium goals, and the last is long term goals. As you start to see how far this business can take you, very long term goals can also come into play.

You can think of short term goals as what you want to get done today. Each week you should set time away to make a list of what you want to get done. These goals should be easily measured and actionable. For example, something like call Joe and Bob on Monday and then set up appointments with Bill and Mary on the next day. These goals should be very specific so you have good direction.

Weekly goals are your daily to do lists. Write down what you plan to get done for each day so you don’t have to think about it, just do it. Will you get all these done every week? Maybe not, but don’t think of that as failure. Just think how much closer you are to your big goals by doing the things you did accomplish.

Your monthly goals are going to be less specific and more broad. This would be things like I am going to write two classified ads for the paper. Or, I will develop a blog as a lead generation tool. Once you have a list of things you want to accomplish this month then plug them into your weekly goals. So you might say on Wednesday you will work on the classifieds.

This is also a good place to put goals for training. Both your own and the people in your down line. For example, you could have as a monthly goal to read one sales training book a month.

Yearly goals are large scale organizational goals. This would be things like I will have 24 new members signed by this time next year. This then would influence your monthly goals. You need two per month. Which in turn would keep you focused on your weekly goals of working your list.

When you set very long term goals you are looking at where you ultimately want to be with the business. Where do you want to be in your life within five years. Or where do you want to live in ten years. These big picture dreams are the stuff that keep you motivated to accomplish your weekly, monthly, and yearly goal lists.

A Knight to Succeed

June 26th, 2009

Far away in the magical land of cyberspace there lived a beautiful princess. In another part of the land lived a handsome knight. Though far apart there common problem was the inability to attract new friends into their lives. Princess Affiliatey Attempti as well as Sir Francis Networker, both trained in the use of magic crystal balls could not attract new friends or possible mates to them.

Sir Networker in his desperation went so far as to have his MacCrystal Ball’s operating system checked out and Princess Affiliatey ordered the resident warlock in her kingdom to overhaul her P-See Forever crystal ball. But still the two could not attract new friends or suitable mates.

Princess Affiliateys father had been monitoring his daughters failed attempts and advised her to cast a royal website to see what she could catch in the way of friends and possible suitors. A dutiful daughter she immediately set upon designing a website to rival all others. She peppered it with alluring products and tempting services from all over her realm. Still her web could snare few visitors and usually none. Devastated she retired to her tower, giving up her quest for popularity and marriage. No longer in the game she only used her P-See Forever to check on the weather or read recipes. Her sad story spread far and wide and although sympathetic to her plight nobody had a solution for her.

Now, Sir Networker, having heard her tale of woe and realizing his problem was little different from hers decided on a different course of action. His task was to study and learn. His campaign was to take him into the realm of psychological adventure. He swore an oath to become a sorcerer (one who lives by the source of infinite knowledge). He knew that chasing after people would do him little good. And finding an acceptable mate would require much more than just having a working MacCrystal Ball. He would become a leader of people, changing his habits and techniques. He would become a human magnet.

His travels took him to many lands where he learned to absorb knowledge that was good and to reject that which would not help him. Then one misty morning something caused him to wake up in the secluded glen where he had camped the night before. Through half-closed eyes he perceived a beautiful fairy standing over him and watching him intently. She literally sparkled, glowing in multi-colored light. Knowing he was awake, she smiled at him and said in her melodic voice, “I knew you would come to me eventually. Now, your journey for knowledge has ended. Stay with me for a while and I will teach you how to be a human magnet. You will draw people to you easily wherever you may travel and in whatever you should decide to do.”

Opening his eyes completely, he sat up and asked, Will you teach me to attract unique people to me as well as a suitable wife?” “Of course,” she smiled at him. “What about my campaigns? Will people follow me,” he asked? “Will I be able to recruit followers easily?” Sitting before him she replied, “As a magnetic knight people from across the land will be drawn to you. Thousands will look to you as their leader. And as such, you must impart the knowledge I give to you to them so that they in turn will attract thousands of people to them, too.”

Why do you treat me with such kindness, he asked? Because for far too long I have observed people like you struggling to win people over to them. In order for them to become successful in their personal lives and their business lives they must be equipped to do so. For that to happen they must become magnetically charged. You are the first of many to come. Receive my gift and pass the knowledge on to others.

And so Sir Francis Networker learned the secrets of the beautiful fairy. Returning to his homeland he made many friends and married the damsel of his dreams. Armed with his new-found knowledge he fashioned his own web (site) and used the secrets of attracting thousands of people who happily allowed themselves to be caught up in his vision. He worked diligently teaching his acolytes about attracting people magnetically and later he became famous for coining the phrase, “Gird thy loins with a magnetic codpiece and thou shalt be known as most popular.
